About
Sawah Lebar Sub-district Waste Bank is a business owned by the sub-district aimed at helping the community manage waste while gaining economic value from it.
Business Process
The waste bank receives waste collected by the community and sells it to collectors. Every transaction is recorded manually in a book. In each transaction, members do not directly receive cash; instead, it is recorded as a balance. This balance can be withdrawn at the end of every month, or once the waste has been sold to collectors.
Problem
The transaction process is still done manually, making it prone to recording errors. Additionally, members find it difficult to track their balances. The sub-district leadership also wants transparent reports that can be accessed at any time.
Solution
Built a Laravel-based web application for waste bank transaction management. This application allows members to track their balances, and the sub-district leadership to generate transparent reports accessible at any time. Transaction data, sales, and mutations are clearly recorded and can be accessed anytime without the fear of data loss due to human error.
Stack
This application was built using Laravel and a MySQL database. The interface was made quite simple so that it is easy for waste bank members and the sub-district leadership to use.
Hosting
This is an internal application, and they lack the technical capability to manage the web continuously. Therefore, I manage this website on my server, providing the justkidding.app subdomain.
